A Roscommon pup called Biscuit has claimed third prize in Petmania’s Puppy of the Year competition. The overall prize was won by Donut, an English Mastiff, from Mountrath. In third place was gentle cocker spaniel, Biscuit Dunphy from Roscommon while in second place was therapy puppy for Clonakilty Community Hospital in Cork, Molly Saoirse. This year’s competition had over 1600 entrants and thousands of votes were cast in Petmania’s stores and online. After being selected as a finalist in this year’s Puppy of the Year contest Rachel Dunphy from Roscommon stated: “We were delighted and proud of Biscuit for getting this far.
